Basqueroto
“Music is communication. A way to connect people and draw emotion out of a dance floor.”
About
Basqueroto is a Brazilian DJ and percussionist based in Dublin, Ireland. A percussionist since childhood, from pagode sessions with friends in Brazil to stages across Ireland, he brings to his sets the groove of someone who feels rhythm from the inside.
As a DJ, the direction is clear: tech house, afro house and bass house. Electronic music made for the dance floor, with groove and emotion.
Background
Born in Brazil, Fernando Basqueroto built his career as a percussionist, playing more than 600 shows across Ireland in the last four years, most of them with 353 Samba Club, Ireland’s biggest samba and pagode band, of which he is one of the five co-owners.
The move into electronic music came naturally. Someone who carries rhythm in the body reads a dance floor differently, and that shows in the way his sets build and move.
Also available as DJ + live percussion, an organic rhythmic layer on top of the electronic set. Fernando also plays live percussion alongside DJs and sax players at events and weddings.
